Summer season shoots

The outdoor (summer) shooting season runs from 1st April each year until the end of September.

Club nights are officially set each year (for 2008 these are Monday and Thursday).  The meetings take place at the Chesterfield Cylinders Sports Ground, members usually start to arrive any time from 5:00pm onwards depending on visibility and the weather.  The session officially ends at 9:00pm, but will end earlier as darkness falls.  During the summer, the nominated time slot is 7:00pm - 9:00pm (light permitting).

There is a sheet in the club hut for anyone wishing to take part.  

Indoor calendar of shoots
 (Monday 6:30pm - 9pm) Speedwell Rooms, Staveley

The indoor session starts on 1st October each year at the Speedwell Rooms.  The field Captain is responsible also for taking shooting the fees on the day, as a concession, the Field Captain does not have to pay for the evening.  Shooting starts at 7pm until 9pm with pack-up by 9:30pm. however the room is generally available from 6:30pm to allow archers to set-up.

NOTES: Indoor Portsmouth round is 5doz arrows (shoot and collect in 3's) @ 20 yards, 60cm face, 10 zone scoring.

Frostbite shoots 
 (Sat 10am) Chesterfield Cylinders Sports Ground

The frostbite takes place on the nominated Saturdays at the cylinders ground, 1.30 set-up - 2.00 p.m. sighters... times are flexible.  ALL BOC members are welcome to participate.

Notes: 36 arrows at 30 metres on an 80cm face, 10 zone scoring, 6 sighters may be shot.
