Member site access help file
Connect to the BOC home page on the internet at
http://www.bowmenofchesterfield.org.uk
The right hand column contains links to pages which are held on the members access server. A user name and password needs to be used to access these pages, every BOC member has been assigned access details. If you do not have the access details (or have lost them) request a copy from the website manager or Secretary.
Click on one of the page links...
A PASSWORD BOX will appear as you attempt to access the members only section.

Depending on the browser you are using (MS Internet Explorer IE, Mozilla FireFox, Opera etc), the text input box may look different to the illustrations shown here, but in essence the procedure is the same.

There are two lines which require your PERSONAL access data, these are called
User name:
Password:
Each BOC member will be allocated their own USER NAME and PASSWORD. Do not pass this information to anyone, if it is found that non-members are given access to the members section, the user name and password will be withdrawn.

A tick box enables you to save the personal data so that you do not need to re-key it each time you access the members section... this is not recommended for shared or public access computers.
USER NAME
Generally speaking, this is a series of eight to twelve numbers, letters and
characters. Accurately enter the numbers / letters / characters in the USER NAME
box, do not leave spaces.
PASSWORD
Each member will be allocated a unique password comprising of letters and
numbers.
BE AWARE that the password is case sensitive, so enter it EXACTLY as it appears copying UPPER and lower case.... so TesT123 will not work if entered as TEST123 or test123 or Test123
BOC personal data has been tested before being issued, so DOES WORK, its been checked with different versions of browser too. If you get something wrong, you will receive an error message.

When you successfully access the members section, the pages hidden from public view will be displayed.
PASSWORD CACHE
Note that when you have accessed the members section, your computer browser will
temporarily store (cache) the access privilege to save you having to key your
username / password in as you browse the internet and return to the members
section. To remove this temporary privilege close your browser, this is
important when using a public computer such as a library or internet cafe
facility.
If you experience difficulties, e-mail the BOC website manager for assistance
