The Bowmen of Chesterfield (BOC) is a small friendly club
which was formed in 1981, 2010 marks our 29th
year.

Our primary shooting ground is located at the Chesterfield
Cylinders Sports Ground off the main Hasland
Road in Chesterfield. During the summer season (after 1st April) club nights are Monday and
Thursday. In the winter season (starting October) we
shoot indoors on Mondays from 7pm. Formal sessions
are now running indoors on Monday evenings.

We shoot outdoors all through the summer and take
part in the Derbyshire Archery League as well as a
number of local competitions. We organise
"Archery Evenings", "have-a-go
events" and "beginners classes" during
the summer season. During the winter we shoot
indoors at the Speedwell
Rooms, Staveley.

The OUTDOOR shooting season starts from 1st April each
year
with formal sessions on Monday and Thursday evenings until the
end of September.
The
INDOOR shooting season runs weekly on Monday evenings from the beginning
of October until the end of March each year.

A few places are available
for the 2010 beginners course... on a first come basis. The
course will take place INDOORS at the Speedwell Rooms on the
following four Thursday evenings in March... 4, 11, 18, 25.
